Contact A Dallas Personal Injury Lawyer When You Have Been Hurt In An Accident

If you have been injured in a car accident, or if your loved one has lost their lives in an accident, it will be beneficial to speak with an attorney about your case. Having quality legal representation to manage your compensation claim can reduce stress and increase the value of your claim.

What Should I Do After A Car Accident Happens?

It will always be in your best interest if you take the following steps after an accident occurs:

Contact Emergency Services

You want to notify the police so that an official record can be made of the car accident. This will be a crucial part of your claim. Encourage any witnesses to leave their information with the police so that they can be contacted at a later time. Request an ambulance if serious injuries happen.

Seek Medical Attention

Even if you think your injuries may be minor, it is important to get checked out by the ER. Your headache or sore muscles may not be stress-related from the accident but an actual injury. It is always better to get checked out.

Contact A Personal Injury Lawyer

If possible, speak with a personal injury attorney before giving any official statements to the insurance company. Your attorney will protect your rights and ensure that the insurance company treats you fairly from the start.

Avoid Oversharing On Social Media

You should refrain from posting on social media about your accident, your injuries, or your interactions with your attorney. In fact, the less you put up there while your case is active, the better. The insurance company will be watching.
