3 South Dallas Teens on Stolen Horses Hit by Car

Three teens, aged 14, 16, and 17, were struck by a car in Southern Dallas at 5:30 early Tuesday morning, March 14. They were all riding horses stolen from at a location near I-20 and Bonnie View Road. The pedestrian accident occurred on the bridge where Great Trinity Forest Way crosses Texas 310/South Central Expressway.

The 14-year-old rider died at the scene, and the two other juveniles were taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to the Dallas Police. One horse died at the scene, and a second was euthanized, although the third horse is expected to recover. It is unknown whether the 16- and 17-year-olds will face charges.
