Before the sun dawned over Dallas on Thanksgiving Day, multiple vehicle crashes killed five people and injured four people. At just past midnight on Nov. 25, 2021, the carnage started on Interstate 30 next to Dolphin Road. Dallas Fire-Rescue reached the accident scene shortly before deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office arrived at 12:37 a.m. Emergency personnel determined that two women, ages 45 and 46, were deceased and that an injured man needed to go to a hospital. He had been riding in the 1998 gold Toyota Camry with the two women. According to the sheriff’s office, a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Travoris McFadden struck the Camry. An occupant of the Tahoe was also injured and subsequently taken to a hospital. At 2:16 a.m., police responded to a single-vehicle crash on the 1600 block of the South Good Latimer Expressway. DFR declared two men in the gray 2015 BMW M4 dead at the accident scene. Police reported that the driver apparently lost control and hit a building and electrical utility pole. A fire then consumed the BMW. Later at 3:51 a.m., a speeding 1999 Toyota Tacoma interrupted deputies assisting a motorist on Interstate 30 near Grand Avenue. After observing an erratic lane change, deputies pursued the vehicle. The Tacoma then rear-ended a tractor-trailer. The Tacoma driver was dead by the time DFR removed him from the vehicle.
