Family Injured In Pedestrian Fort Worth Accident

On June 5, a woman pushing a stroller was injured following a crash at about 5:40 p.m. at McCart Avenue and Sycamore School Road intersection. The mother and the children were near Walmart’s entrance at the median of McCart Avenue when the accident occurred.

Authorities say that the driver of a car heading north tried to pull into the intersection as an SUV approached, and the two vehicles collided. One vehicle struck the mother and the children accompanying her.

A witness who ran to help at the scene said that all the children appeared to be less than five years old. Paramedics took the injured children and the adult female to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

As of June 6, two of the children and the mother were reported to be in critical condition. Hospital officials say injuries to the third child were more minor.
