2 Fort Worth Police Officers and Civilian Injured After Car Accident
At about 1:30 AM on Nov. 10, a car accident on I-35 resulted in the injury of two Fort Worth police officers and a civilian. The accident occurred near the Berry St. exit, and all individuals injured were sent to the hospital.
Police Assistance Quickly Turns Into a Dangerous Car Accident
Before the accident, police were assisting three vehicles that were disabled on the southbound side of the highway due to excess debris in the road. As the police were helping the civilians, one vehicle ran into the patrol car. The patrol car had two officers inside, a training officer and a rookie.
The impact caused the patrol car to ram into one of the disabled vehicles. Fortunately, the training officer was able to quickly move the rookie and affected civilian to safety before another vehicle ran into the cars at the scene.
The second vehicle was a hit-and-run, fleeing the scene.
