Police report that two pedestrians died recently in a pedestrian accident that closed the northbound lanes of Loop 820 for more than five hours. Police at the scene say that the driver abandoned the vehicle and left the scene near the intersection of Loop 820 and Marine Creek Parkway on foot.
Officials pronounced one of the pedestrians dead at the scene, and first responders took the other pedestrian to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The police found the next of kin and notified them of this tragic event.
