On April 15th, around 8:30 pm, a two-year-old was struck by an SUV when he darted out into the street near an ice cream truck. Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the boy to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The boy, identified as Messiah Glover, was running toward an ice cream truck that was parked in Buckner Terrace. The child then darted out around the side of the truck, where he was struck by an SUV that was passing the parked ice cream truck. The 53-year-old driver quickly pulled over.
Police stated that no charges were being filed against the driver. The accident, however, is still under investigation.
