Car Accident on I-30 Closes Arlington Roadways

On New Year’s Day in Arlington, 2023 started off with a deadly accident on I-30. The January 1st car accident occurred that Sunday night at about 5 p.m. and resulted in several lanes of I-30 in Arlington being shut down.

During the accident, a vehicle plummeted off the road and into the water below the highway. The vehicle had a passenger and a driver.  Unfortunately, one party member passed away, while the other was left in critical condition.

Rescue crews rushed to the scene and safely got the surviving victim en route to a local hospital. The accident left lanes closed westbound near Fielder Road.

Police and crews cleared the wreck, but the investigation is currently ongoing.

Highway Driving Can Lead to Devastating Accidents

Although there was no confirmed cause behind the accident, we at Genthe Law Firm would like to stress the fact that many accidents along Texas highways are the result of reckless driving.

Driving dangerously on the highway can be a life-threatening activity. It not only puts yourself at risk but also other drivers around you who may not have seen your reckless behavior coming. Speeding, tailgating, and weaving in and out of traffic are just some examples of driving recklessly that could cause an accident that leads to severe injury or worse.

In addition to physical harm, getting involved in a car accident on the highway can result in serious financial loss. From paying for hospital treatment to the pain of losing money because your injuries prevent you from working, the financial implications of a car accident can quickly add up.
