Dallas DWI Accident Leaves One Dead, Several Injured

Just after 11 pm on January 10, 2022, two vehicles were involved in a car accident. It is believed that the driver of one of the vehicles was intoxicated when the accident occurred. The accident occurred at the intersection of Great Trinity Forest Way and Jim Miller Road.

The 29-year-old driver of a Crown Victoria was driving intoxicated with a 20-year-old passenger in her vehicle. She slammed into a Crysler 300 that was carrying five people. Four people were seriously injured in the Crysler, and the passenger in the Crown Victoria died at the scene.

The driver’s name had not been released at the time of the accident because she was in surgery. However, police have stated that she will be charged with one count of intoxicated manslaughter and four counts of intoxicated assault.

A DWI Accident Will Change Your Life

When a person is driving under the influence, they are not in control of their vehicle. They have slower reflexes and make poor choices on the road. As many accidents have shown, drivers under the influence also drive at higher rates of speed and are more reckless on the road.

Dallas car accidents that are a result of a DWI often have serious injuries or loss of life associated with the event, as seen above. Victims who survive have many challenges, including long-term medical care and the associated expense and loss of income.
