Officers with the East Division of the Fort Worth Police Department, firefighters with the Fort Worth Fire Department, and personnel with MedStar responded to a one-vehicle accident on Texas 183 at the southbound Texas 360 exit at about 7:45 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022.
The driver, initially headed westbound, hit the guardrail with enough force for his car to jump over it and plummet about 50 feet to the road below. Paramedics took the driver to Baylor Grapevine Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition. The critically injured driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and no one on the ground received injuries.
