DWI Suspect Crashes into 2 Jets at Dallas Love Field

At around 3 am on April 9, 2022, a man drove through the fence at Dallas Love Field and hit two private airplanes and a fuel truck. The man was alone driving a pickup truck and was found to be intoxicated when the police arrived at the scene. No one was hurt, and the 21-year-old man was charged with DWI and a few other charges. The man may also face federal charges pending investigation because the accident occurred at an airport.

A Very Unusual Dallas DWI Accident

The above DWI accident is very rare because it did not involve injuries. Most DWI accidents involve serious injuries and often death. When intoxicated, drivers tend to drive faster and have slower reflexes, leading to catastrophic accidents and injuries.

This Could Have Been A Very Complex Issue If Someone Was Injured

If there have been any additional people in the vehicle with the driver that were injured or if there were people in the vehicles he struck that were injured, this would quickly become a challenging case.

You would need to contact a Dallas personal injury lawyer with the knowledge and experience to deal with a multi-faceted case. Why would it be so complex? Because of the place where the actual accident happened.

Since the accident happened on private property, an investigation would have to be conducted to see if the accident could have been prevented. However, since this private property was also an airport, federal laws and regulations apply and will make the situation even more complex.
