Four-Vehicle Arlington Crash Kills Motorcyclist

On January 28, 2022, around 6 pm, a four-vehicle accident occurred at the corner of Center Street and Arkansas Lane in Arlington. There were three passenger vehicles involved and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. No other serious injuries were reported. Police believe that the accident occurred when the motorcyclist, who was driving westbound on Arkansas Lane, collided with a Dodge Charger that was turning left from Center Street. The Charger then hit a Ford Fusion at the same intersection, and the motorcyclist collided with a Toyota Carolla. The cyclist was thrown from his motorcycle and died from his injuries. No one was ticketed at the scene of the accident.

Motorcycle Accidents Often Result In Catastrophic Injuries or Death

The loss of life in the Arlington motorcycle accident listed above is sadly not unusual. Cyclists do not have the same physical protection as passengers in an enclosed vehicle. Additionally, motorcyclists are often thrown from their motorcycle during the accident leading to additional injuries.

Involved In A Motorcycle Accident – Contact A Dallas Personal Injury Lawyer

Accidents involving motorcycles are complex issues. Not only are the injuries often life-changing for the motorcyclist, insurance companies often try to deny these claims. Many insurance companies believe that motorcyclists accept the risk of driving a motorcycle, so therefore should accept the consequences. The reality of this issue is that you have the rights and freedom to operate any type of motorized vehicle as long as they are legal without discrimination. This means that motorcyclists have the same rights to be covered for a personal injury as those in a covered passenger vehicle.
