Semi-Truck Accident Leaves 2 Drivers Dead on I-635 in Dallas

On April 25, 2022, an unusual truck accident occurred on LBJ Freeway (I-695) near Plano Road. Around 1 am in the morning, a man in a Honda Accord was involved in a single-car accident while heading west on LBJ. The event left his car stalled in the far left lane.

Two semi-trucks were also traveling down the road at the same time. Weather conditions were terrible from heavy rain, and one truck entered the left lane to pass the first truck. The semi struck the Honda Accord, smashing the vehicle and killing the driver.

The semi jerked his truck to the right, and his tractor came apart from his trailer upon crashing into the other semi and then catching fire. The semi that was in the right lane was pushed over the side of the road where it jackknifed. One of the truck drivers also lost their life in this accident.

There is an ongoing investigation into this accident, and no further information has been released at this time.

Dallas Truck Accidents Are Always Devastating Events

It is very rare for truck accidents to resulting minimal damage or minimal injuries to the parties involved. In fact, most truck accidents result in the death of at least one person involved in the event.

The trucking industry is covered by both state and federal laws, making them complex issues, even with a small accident. Additionally, trucking accidents present challenges to the injured parties because several parties can often be held responsible for the accident.
