Fort Worth Fatal Street Racing Accident

Two Women Killed in Car Accident With Street Racers

At around 9 p.m. on Nov. 30, two women were killed when they were involved in an accident between their vehicle and two racing pickup trucks.

The 37-year-old and 17-year-old victims were driving down River Oaks Boulevard in Fort Worth when the car accident occurred.

According to police reports, two vehicles were speeding East down River Oaks Boulevard right before the incident. One of the vehicles slammed into the vehicle with the two victims inside as they were leaving Griff’s Restaurant. A third victim, a 20-year-old man, was also in the vehicle and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

An Arrest Made After the Tragedy

Days after the accident, 19-year-old, Nelson Ramirez, was arrested without incident at his home. He was charged with two counts of manslaughter and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Another driver involved in the accident was a juvenile. Their case is currently being handled through Tarrant County Juvenile Services.

Wrongful Death Impacts Those Involved On All Fronts

When a family has to suffer through the wrongful death of a loved one, the pain is something that inflicts emotional, financial, and even physical damage.  Ambulance bills and emergency hospital treatments all add up quickly. These financial burdens are magnified when death is involved, and a family must now plan a funeral while they grieve the untimely incident.

Don’t let a wrongful death leave your family under a financial strain during your time of need. Let a personal injury lawyer help you get through this difficult time and ensure you receive maximum compensation from guilty parties and insurance companies.
