A four-year-old girl died following a dog attack on July 9, 2022, outside a home in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood.
The child’s mother had gone to the store, and a co-resident was watching the child and some of her siblings when the fatal accident occurred.
The co-resident claims three dogs were involved in the attack, and she says they have had trouble with their neighbor’s dogs before. The resident describes the dogs attacking her child in the past when she was walking up the driveway, but thankfully, in that case, the dog got ahold of the child’s coat and not the child. Dallas Animal Services took one dog into possession. While emergency responders took the child to a local hospital, the girl died. The mother describes her as an angel, and the mother was noticeably upset because no one called to let her know during the dog attack.
Recovery After a Dog Bite
The mother, who was not home when the accident occurred, was getting back on her feet after trouble with Child Protective Services in the past. She was staying at the home with friends and had gotten a job in March.
Yet, this will be a significant setback in her efforts to make a better life for herself and her children. She will need to be able to pay for a burial and continue working on her recovery plan. If you are like the mother who lost her child after a dog attack, you need a personal injury lawyer.
