Oak Cliff Dallas DWI Accident Death

DWI Accident Claims Life of 16-Year-Old Boy

A 16-year-old male student who attended Trinity Garza Early High School at Mountain View, was killed in a car accident when an intoxicated 22-year-old male, lost control of his SUV while heading westbound and crossed over the center line striking the teen’s vehicle.

The accident occurred on October 25, 2022, just before midnight in the 2800 block of Illinois Avenue near South Westmoreland Road in Oak Cliff.

First responders took the teen and the driver to area hospitals, where the teen was pronounced dead. At the time of the accident, the intoxicated driver was heading westbound while the teen was heading eastbound.

At last report, the intoxicated driver was still in the hospital with serious injuries, but police plan to charge him with intoxicated manslaughter.

Families Left to Grieve and Pay After Deadly DWI Car Accidents

The teen who passed away in the car accident left behind a loving family that will have to grieve their loss for the rest of their lives. Aside from having to pay for the expenses of a funeral and the cost of the ambulance drive to the hospital, the family could also face further expenses as they may be unable to work and create income during their time of grieving.

If you have a loved one who has been involved and passed away in a car accident, the first thing you should do is work with a Dallas personal injury lawyer who specializes in wrongful death.

They can help you build your case against insurance companies and guilty parties in order to gain the compensation you’re owed for your pain and suffering.
